CNPC’s self-developed and self-constructed maximizing fertilizer project, Ningxia Petrochemical’s domestic production of 450,000 tons of synthetic ammonia/800,000 tons of urea, commenced. This project is the first large-scale nitrogen fertilizer plant designed and constructed by China National Petroleum Corporation using its own proprietary intellectual property technology. The project budget will invest 2.67 billion yuan. The overall plan will be completed in the first half of 2013. The project will be completed by the end of June 2013. The ammonia plant and urea plant will be delivered by the end of August, and the trial production will be completed by the end of October. The construction scale of the project is a daily production capacity of 1,500 tons for synthetic ammonia plants and 2,640 tons of urea plants. After completion and production, Ningxia Petrochemical Fertilizer will have an annual production capacity of 3 million tons, which will leapfrog China's largest and most technologically advanced fertilizer production enterprise, and will promote Ningxia to become an important fertilizer production base in the country.
