JFD hand in hand Vanguard is about to complete the construction of two self-propelled high-pressure lifeboats

It is reported that the subsea operation and manufacturing company JFD has already cooperated with Vanguard Synthetic Engineering Company to complete the construction of two newly designed self-propelled high-pressure lifeboats (SPHL).
FD has received a contract in February 2016 to design and build six SPHLs, four of which are 18-person manned and two of which are manned for 24 passengers for a number of newly constructed diving support vessels. The first two 18-person lifeboats are about to be completed and will soon be installed and commissioned on the first dive support vessel after the final test.

Giovanni Corbetta, general manager of JFD, said, “I am very pleased to be working with Vanguard for the first time. The project is progressing as planned. I am looking forward to the delivery of two advanced high quality lifeboats, which will raise the safety standards for lifeboats around the world.”

The two sides worked closely together on the design and engineering stages of the lifeboat to enhance their manufacturing and design capabilities.

These lifeboats and pylon systems are manufactured at Vanguard's factory in China and assembled at JFD's Australian, Korean and UK plants, and are classified to DNVGL classification societies to meet the latest industry standards.

After the first two ships are delivered, JFD's project team will begin work on two other 24-person lifeboats for two 18-person lifeboats.
