The US Federal-Mogul Group recently announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with the latter for the acquisition of DZV Bearings Co. of Russia, but the company has not announced the specific terms of the transaction.
DZV Bearings is a privately-owned company headquartered in Dimitrovgrad, Russia. With 375 employees, DZV Bearings supplies engine components, bushings, and washers for Russian OEMs and engine manufacturers.
Federal-Mogul's mergers and acquisitions with DZV Bearings are still subject to the approval of the Russian regulatory authorities. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2014 or early next year.
Federal-Mogul’s Power Systems Business Unit currently has two plants in Russia, located in Naberezhnye Chelny and Togliatti, producing products including pistons, piston rings and liners.
