Yunnan Copper stated in a statement on Wednesday that the company will close three copper blast furnaces and carry out planned maintenance. Repairs will begin on September 1 for nine months. The company said that the production of refined copper and sulfuric acid will be affected, but the operation of other systems will not be affected. The company also stated that it will be able to complete this year's production target, but did not provide more details. Yunnan Copper is the fourth largest copper producer in China based on output.
