Recently, the “Shandong Province Multi-Scale Tire Life Cycle Manufacturing Innovation Center Seminar†hosted by Chengshan Group was held in Rongcheng City, Shandong Province.
Sun Jingjun, Director of Science and Technology Department of Shandong Provincial Economic and Information Committee, Sun Yuzhong, Deputy Director of Weihai City Economic and Information Committee, Zhang Hongmin, President of Shandong Rubber Industry Association, Wang Gang, Executive Vice Mayor of Rongcheng Municipal Government, and leaders and experts of 25 joint units of Innovation Center, etc. A total of more than 50 people attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Chengshan Group first proposed the “multi-scale tire life cycle†research and development concept, and introduced the Shandong multi-scale tire life cycle manufacturing innovation center.
Tire World Network learned that the innovation center is led by Chengshan Group, and the joint builders include Pulin Chengshan, Sailong Jinyu, Fengyuan Tire, Hengfeng Rubber and Xingyuan Group.
In addition, a total of 25 downstream automobile companies, research institutes, raw materials and tooling equipment supporting enterprises as joint units participated in the establishment of the Innovation Center.
Mr. Che Baozhen, general manager of Pulin Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co., Ltd. said that the innovation center is based on the principle of resource sharing, collaborative innovation and green intelligence. The main task is to carry out close cooperation between industry, academia and research to make the research and development capability reach the international advanced level.
He said that the successful experience and achievements during the construction of the Innovation Center will be promoted to the same industry in the province, driving the overall level of tire enterprises in Shandong Province.
It is understood that the total investment of the Innovation Center is about 276 million yuan, and it is planned to be completed in 2019.
The construction task mainly focuses on the four major innovation platforms and the construction of two major centers.
The four innovation platforms include multi-scale tire product life cycle management, digital blue tire radial tire development technology, multi-scale tire cloud computing, digital design, intelligent design technology, dynamics research on vehicle tire simulation and control.
The two centers are the Pulin Chengshan R&D Center in Qingdao and the Pulin Chengshan Tire Testing Center in Rongcheng's existing factory.
The Innovation Center will complete the acceptance of the construction project by the end of 2018.
These include the development of 330 new products for all-steel tires and semi-steel tires, the development of all-steel wide-base tires, the development of semi-steel MT tires, self-repairing tires, racing tires, carbon nanotube tires, and self-supporting run-flat tires.
At the meeting, the joint unit of the Innovation Center passed the list of experts of the board of directors and technical committee, and recommended He Xiaomei, former chief engineer of Beijing Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute, as the director of the technical committee.
