According to Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first five months of this year, Jiaxing City has exported more than 2,000 batches of LED lighting products, with a value of about 90 million US dollars. The batch and value increased by 40 and 70 compared with the same period of last year.
According to statistics, there are currently 70 LED companies in Jiaxing City, and the output value in 2012 was 2 billion yuan. As the world's energy sources become increasingly tight, the market for new energy-saving products continues to expand, and the prospects for LED products are promising. Jiaxing is one of the major producing areas of LED lighting products, and its export volume is growing strongly. Among them, in 2011, the cumulative exports exceeded 3,000 batches, with a value of about 100 million US dollars; in 2012, the cumulative exports exceeded 4,000 batches, with a value of about 150 million US dollars. In 2012, LED lighting products exported by Jiaxing accounted for one-fifth of the province's total.
The LED lighting products exported by Jiaxing District mainly have the following characteristics: First, the products are mainly light sources. LED lighting products in the jurisdiction are mainly LED bulbs, accounting for 90% of all exports, and the rest are LED lamps; second, the export market is high-end. The main markets faced by LED lighting products export enterprises in the jurisdiction are the EU and the United States, the EU accounts for 40, the United States accounts for 30, and the rest is less of an emerging market. The third is the leading enterprises to drive the development of the entire industry. Zhejiang's large-scale LED enterprises have made great contributions to the development of Jiaxing LED lighting products industry, and also promoted the development of related industries.
In order to achieve the goal of exceeding 10 billion yuan in the output value of LED industry in 2016, this means that the average annual growth rate of LED industry output will reach 40 or more in the next few years.
